Central Christian Church partners with Maple Lawn Elementary in their 3rd-5th grade literacy program called Book Buddies.  Think about all the wonderful gifts reading gives us:  enhanced vocabulary, JOY, improved comprehension, empathy, stress reduction, FUN, brain boost, exposure to different experiences, LAUGHTER, communication skills, self-esteem and family connections just to name a few.  Books have always been some of my closest friends and I feel fortunate to be able to share that with the children in my community.  We are looking for volunteers to become Maple Lawn Book Buddies.  If you have 30 minutes a week* (plus travel) to share with a child and a book, please contact me and I will give you all the details.

The spring festival is Saturday, April 13th. We have roles that need to be filled!
