ABOUT US
General Information
Central Dog Park is a ministry of Central Christian Church partnering with our neighbors to create a restful and peaceful place to enjoy God’s creation.
In addition to giving patrons a place to bring dogs for recreation and socialization, the park has developed a very tight knit community. We have several events during the year with the goal of supporting the park. These include the spring festival and the park tree lighting during the holidays.
As a valued partner to the church, park patrons have worked to increase awareness of the park over the past few years. Average park attendance has more than doubled since 2016, and park patronage continues to grow.
Park maintenance and upkeep is supported by park patrons.
In 2007 a church member saw a friend in the church’s unused playground with their dog. They had the vision that the space could be used as a community dog park, and the concept took off. The church enthusiastically converted the space into a dog park and allowed that community to flourish. The park is now attended by hundreds of people per week and is an important part of the church’s ministry.
All dogs and owners are welcome to attend dog park church.
